HENRY AND THE MUDGE in the Green Time

Today, I read this book!

Three short stories in this book.

1. The Picnic 

Henry and Mudge went picnic in the summer.

When he was eating lunch, he was stung on his hand. his hand puffed up and he cried.

Then, Mudge licked his face again and again.

Finally, Henry stopped crying.

2.The Bath

On Sunny day, Henry gave Mudge a bath.

Henry like it but Mudge dosen't.

When he finished washing, Mudge shook his body do hard in order to remove water and Henry splashed with it!

3.The Green Time

Henry and Mudge went to the top pf Green hill. Henry felt as if he were a king and Mudge were his dragon.

He played king with his dragon, Mudge.

This Weekend

 Last Sunday, my mother, grandmother and uncle came to Kumamoto.
They brought me some Ikinaridanngo as souvenir. I really like it!
We talked about my life in university, such as friends, club activities and classes.
 In addition, I made some cookies in the evening.
I like making some confectionery, especially cookie!
I succeeded in baking it so the cookies were delicious very much!
I gave them to some friends yesterday.

My Golden Week

My Golden Week 

In this Golden Week, I went back to Fukuoka.
I met a lot of local friends and talked about the each other's new lives.
I am enjoying my university life so much and my friends too.
Then, I went my home  for the first time in a month. Mother's meal was very very delicious!

 I had the first tournament of soft tennis.

I'm a member of soft tennis club, and there are 5 other first grade students in it.
We had the Godaigaku tournament this weekend.
I couldn't win the first match, so I was really disappointed.
I'll practice hard in order to win the next tournament.

Anthony's  mother stops him from going to the motorbike races. But he never gave up.

When I read this story, The mother's behavior was so irritated me.
Why she doesn't allow him to go to the race?
However, at last, he could go to the race and his mother understood him.
So this story has a happy end.

When a shark appeared in front of submarine, I worried the children.
But fortunately, they weren't injured.

Today I read The Sun and the Wind.

This kind of story is also famous in Japan as "Kitakaze to Taiyou".

The story line of this book is as follows.

One day, the sun and the wind began to compare their strength.

The sun was shining and the wind was blowing.

The sun suggested the wind that who can take the man's coat off will be winner.

At last, the sun won the wind.

This story was so familiar to me. So, I was surprised that the same story is existing in America.
I think the wind should have suggested more favorable competition for him to the sun.

During escaping, he committed a lot of crime.
he became really criminal.
Finally, he was taken a prison again.

I think this story is so merciless. At first, The man was not a really criminal. 
But  he was in a prison. It was natural that he wanted to escape because he cannot get his happiness in the narrow box.
But he also cannot be happy even he succeed in prison breaking.
